Guiding Lights
What inspires you to be involved in community?
Submitted by admin on Wed, 05/11/2011 - 1:43pmWhat inspires you to be involved in community? What does a great citizen do? What skills and knowledge does a great citizen need? These are some of the questions we posed to participants at the recent Guiding Lights Weekend 2011. With the help of some amazing volunteers we interviewed a large number of people about their thoughts, beliefs, and passions around civics engagement and education in Seattle.
We were also very lucky! And got to partner with YMCA and Puget Sound Off youth volunteers who captured many of the interviews on video. You can click below to watch!
Please join us for another round of conversations on great citizenship! We are currently looking for more volunteers for the up-coming Seattle Works Day 2011 After Party where we will again interview and talk with participants there about what it means to truly be a great citizen and what it takes to foster real engagement. Join us May 21st from 3-5:30pm - call or email Lilah, Community Outreach and Program Coordinator at lsteece@seattlecityclub.org or (206) 682 - 7395.
