Living Voters Guide (LVG) is a non-partisan, community-generated online voters guide that offers a safe space for civil online discussion about each November’s ballot measures and initiatives at the local and statewide level. Living Voters Guide goes live in September before every general election.

One Stop Ballot Shop 2013LVG invites participants to discuss ballot measures together, to explore one another’s positions, and to build a personal, customized platform that will inform their final vote. This voters’ guide is co-created by everyone who participates. It evolves as you and neighbors across our state consider the tradeoffs for each measure. 2014 will be the fourth year for LVG, and it has been used by more than 30,000 WA state voters to date.

Living Voters Guide is inspired by three goals:

  1. Restore trust in our neighbors
  2. Pool the value of community wisdom to inform voters
  3. Demonstrate faith in Thomas Jefferson’s claim, “An informed citizenry is the bulwark of a democracy.”
